Artist Confirmation

Thank you for your Expression of Interest to perform at the 2019 FOLK by the SEA.

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to perform at the Festival.  We require the following information to be completed as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: We may withdraw our offer if any of the changes here affect or change the content and/or intention of your initial Expression of Interest.

Artists Responsibilities

We wish all festival goers and participants to enjoy themselves and have fun. In order to do so we ask our artists to do comply with the following:

  • Artists accept responsibility for their own liability insurance and instruments. When performing, you are a Festival service provider and as such, are not covered by the Festival's public liability insurance. We suggest investigating insurance options with Folk Alliance Australia. You need to be or become a member of Folk Alliance Australia.
  • Artists also accept all responsibility for their tax obligations, Superannuation and WorkCover requirements.
  • Artists are to provide their guitar and keyboard amplifiers and drum kits. The Festival does not provide any backline. Smallish acoustic style PAs are provided at all venues.
  • Artists are responsible for their meals and drinks. Water will be provided at stages.

Code of Conduct

As an artist at the FOLK by the SEA, we contribute to the success of the Festival by:
  • Exhibiting at all times a positive and friendly approach with the purpose of ensuring Festival attendees have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
  • Promoting the Festival at all times as a fun, interesting and diverse event.
  • Respecting and assisting all volunteers and festival staff to the best of our ability.
  • Be aware of any issues that may cause problems and report to the Venue Manager.
  • Following all OH&S practices and policies.
  • Ensuring we are not under the effects of drugs or alcohol while performing.

ABN & Invoice for Payment

If you do not have an ABN, you can download the ABN Statement by a Supplier form from the Australian Taxation Office.

Please also arrange an invoice if you are being paid.

  • or bring it with you to the Festival.
